Create beautiful heart-shaped suncatchers with vibrant red crayon shavings that capture light beautifully.
Ingredients
- Red crayons
- Wax paper
- Iron
- Parchment paper (or a thin cloth)
- Scissors
- Heart-shaped templates (optional)
- String or fishing line (for hanging)
Instructions
- Peel the wrappers from the red crayons.
- Grate the crayons to create fine shavings.
- Place a piece of wax paper on a flat, heat-safe surface.
- Evenly distribute the red crayon shavings onto one half of the wax paper.
- Fold the other half of the wax paper over the shavings.
- Place a piece of parchment paper over the wax paper and press the iron on low heat until the wax melts.
- Once cooled, cut out heart shapes from the melted wax paper.
- Punch a small hole at the top of each heart and thread with string or fishing line to hang.
Notes
