Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy—about 3-5 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the buttery mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly into several bowls (5 or 6). Add different food coloring to each bowl and mix until vibrant.
- Using a spoon or piping bag, alternate spoonfuls of each color into the cupcake liners. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl the colors together.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool.
