Ingredients

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- Various food coloring
- Glass jars or clear cups
- Wooden skewers or sticks
- 1 saucepan
- 1 spoon
- String (optional)
- Paper towels
Instructions
- Choose clean, clear jars or cups for crystal growth. Insert a wooden skewer or stick into the jar, ensuring it doesn’t touch the bottom.
- Combine 2 cups of granulated sugar with 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Remove the pan from heat and add several drops of food coloring, mixing until you achieve your desired colors.
- Carefully pour the hot sugar solution into the prepared jars, filling each to about halfway full.
- Allow the jars to sit undisturbed at room temperature. In 24 hours, you’ll start seeing crystals forming.
- After about a week, carefully remove the skewers and enjoy your colorful sugar crystals!

Use different food coloring combinations for unique designs and experiment with the sugar solution for larger crystals.
