Ingredients
- Clear glass jars or plastic containers (1 per geyser)
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Water
- Cooking oil (vegetable or canola)
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Funnel (optional)
- Measuring spoons
- Stirring stick or spoon
Instructions
- Gather all your materials in a clean, dry workspace. Ensure your jars are clear for optimal viewing.
- Fill each jar 1/3 full with water. Add 5-10 drops of food coloring to each jar and stir gently with a stick to mix.
- Slowly pour cooking oil on top of the colored water, filling the jar to about 2/3 full.
- In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar. Use a funnel to pour the baking soda mixture into the jar.
- Stand back and watch as your geyser erupts in a stunning array of colors!
