Description
Create a colorful and educational rain cloud phenomenon using simple materials in a jar.
Ingredients
- A clear glass jar (mason jar or similar)
- Shaving cream (whipped cream consistency)
- Food coloring (red, blue, yellow, green, etc.)
- Water
- A small bowl or cup for mixing
- A dropper or spoon for color application
- Optional: Glitter for extra sparkle
Instructions
- Start with a clean, dry glass jar and fill it about 3/4 full with water, leaving some space at the top.
- Gently squirt shaving cream on top of the water to create a fluffy cloud.
- In a small bowl, mix a few drops of food coloring with water. Using a dropper or spoon, drop or spoon the colored water onto the shaving cream cloud.
- Watch as the food coloring seeps through the shaving cream and into the water, creating a beautiful rainbow effect. Optionally, add glitter for a magical touch.
Notes
Experiment with different shades by mixing food colors or using scented shaving cream. This project is safe for children but should be supervised.
