Description

A colorful and engaging science experiment that teaches children about chemical reactions and color mixing through a fun fizzing activity.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Clear jar or glass
  • 23 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • 1 cup of water
  • Small funnel (optional)
  • Spoon for mixing

Instructions

  1. Fill your jar about halfway with water.
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring to the water and stir. Choose one color for your base.
  3. Using your funnel, carefully add 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda into the jar.
  4. In a separate container, mix together vinegar and a few drops of food coloring. Slowly pour the vinegar mix into the jar with baking soda and watch the fizzing reaction!
  5. Gently swirl the jar to explore how the colors mix and create new shades.

Notes

Experiment with different food colorings and scents to enhance the sensory experience. Keep it on a tray or outdoors to avoid mess.
