Description

A vibrant and sensory-rich dough recipe perfect for creative play, combining safe ingredients with a glow-in-the-dark twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Glow-in-the-dark powder (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Airtight container for storage

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl: 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of salt, and 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar.
  2. Combine the wet ingredients in a saucepan: mix 3 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and gradually add food coloring.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until the dough thickens and forms a ball.
  4. Add the glow-in-the-dark powder (if using) after removing from heat, mixing until evenly distributed.
  5. Cool the dough for a few minutes, then knead gently until smooth and pliable, adding more flour if sticky.
  6. Store the dough in an airtight container to keep it fresh and ready for play!

Notes

For unique color shades, experiment with food coloring. Consider adding essential oils for scents or sand/cornstarch for texture variations.
