Description

A fluffy, colorful, and luminescent dough that offers therapeutic sensory play for children.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 4 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • Food coloring (your choice of colors)
  • Glow-in-the-dark paint or powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Gradually stir in the vegetable oil and warm water. Mix until combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a non-stick pot over medium heat. Stir continuously until the dough thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Knead the dough until smooth.
  5. Divide the dough and add food coloring to each section, kneading until incorporated.
  6. Mix in glow-in-the-dark paint or powder if desired.
  7. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

For unique colors, mix shades or add essential oils for scent. Ensure younger children are supervised.
