Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 4 teaspoons of cream of tartar. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Gradually pour this mixture into the dry ingredients while stirring.
- Divide the dough into smaller portions for coloring. Add food coloring and knead until blended.
- If desired, add glow-in-the-dark powder and knead until evenly distributed.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook the mixture, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Transfer to a surface and let cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
