Description
A fun and colorful science experiment that creates vibrant foam using shaving cream and glue.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of shaving cream (preferably unscented)
- 1/2 cup of school glue (clear or white)
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk or spatula
- Plastic cups or bowls for coloring
- Baking sheet or tray (for foam display)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Clear a flat surface and cover it with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth to catch any spills. Gather all materials, ensuring you have easy access to everything.
- Mix Foam Base: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of shaving cream with 1/2 cup of school glue. Gently fold the ingredients together using a whisk or spatula until they are well-blended.
- Divide and Color: Pour the foam mixture into plastic cups or bowls, dividing it equally. Add a few drops of food coloring to each cup and mix gently.
- Create Your Rainbow Foam: Once colored, scoop the foam into a baking sheet or tray, layering the colors side by side to form a rainbow effect.
- Play and Explore: Invite kids (or join in yourself) to explore the foam. Feel its texture and watch how it holds its shape. Create shapes and patterns or experiment with small toys.
Notes
Customize colors with natural food dyes or essential oils. Add glitter for extra sparkle.
