Instructions
- Shape pipe cleaners into your desired tree design, ensuring some length for the trunk.
- In warm water, mix in 3 tablespoons of Borax until fully dissolved.
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the solution and stir gently.
- Carefully suspend the tree in the jar/container without touching the bottom or sides.
- Pour the Borax solution into the jar until the tree is submerged.
- Let the jar sit undisturbed for several hours or overnight for crystal growth.
- After about 24 hours, remove the tree and observe the crystallized branches.
Notes
Experiment with different colors and sizes for unique crystal trees. You can also try alternative solutions like Epsom salt or sugar.
