Instructions
- Twist together several pipe cleaners to form a tree shape with branches and a trunk.
- Boil 1 cup of water and stir in 3 tablespoons of Borax until completely dissolved.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to the Borax solution if desired.
- Submerge the twisted pipe cleaner tree in the Borax solution, ensuring it is fully submerged.
- Leave the tree soaking for 6-12 hours to allow crystal formation.
- Remove the tree and let it dry on a paper towel, removing excess Borax.
Notes
Experiment with different pipe cleaner types and color combinations for unique crystal trees. Ensure the tree doesn’t touch the sides of the container for optimal crystal growth.
