Ingredients
- Borax (1 cup)
- Water (3 cups)
- Pipe cleaners (various colors)
- Scissors
- Jar or glass container
- String (optional for hanging)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Baking sheet or plate to catch drips
Instructions
- Shape the Pipe Cleaners: Bend and twist your pipe cleaners into tree shapes or other fun designs. Secure with string if needed.
- Boil Water: In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
- Mix in Borax: Gradually stir in 1 cup of Borax until dissolved. Add food coloring if desired.
- Submerge the Trees: Place your creations into the jar, ensuring they don’t touch the sides. Cover and set aside for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Check Your Crystals: Remove the designs from the jar and rinse gently to remove excess Borax. Allow them to dry on a baking sheet.
Notes
Experiment with different colors and shapes. For added sparkle, sprinkle glitter before the crystals dry.
