Instructions
- Create the tree shape by twisting several pipe cleaners together.
- Use string to hang your tree inside the jar, making sure it doesn’t touch the bottom.
- Heat 1 cup of water in a saucepan until gently boiling.
- Gradually stir in 1 cup of sugar (or Epsom salt) until dissolved.
- Add food coloring to the solution and swirl gently.
- Pour the hot sugar solution into the jar, covering the base of the tree.
- Place the jar in a cool, undisturbed location and watch the crystals grow over the days.
