Ingredients

- 1 cup Borax
- 3 cups Water
- 2 or more Clear glass jars
- Assorted colors Pipe cleaners
- String or yarn
- Scissors
- A spoon for stirring
- A pot for boiling water
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Create your snowflake shapes using pipe cleaners, twisting them together to form intricate designs.
- Boil 3 cups of water in a pot.
- Add 1 cup of Borax to the boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to the solution and mix well (optional).
- Carefully lower the pipe cleaner snowflakes into the saturated solution using the string and ensure they don’t touch the sides or bottom of the jar.
- Allow them to sit undisturbed overnight.
- Remove the snowflakes the next day and let them dry on a paper towel.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different sizes and shapes. Using glitter or varied jar types can enhance the final look.
