Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Borax
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 or more Clear glass jars
  • Assorted colors Pipe cleaners
  • String or yarn
  • Scissors
  • A spoon for stirring
  • A pot for boiling water
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Create your snowflake shapes using pipe cleaners, twisting them together to form intricate designs.
  2. Boil 3 cups of water in a pot.
  3. Add 1 cup of Borax to the boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring to the solution and mix well (optional).
  5. Carefully lower the pipe cleaner snowflakes into the saturated solution using the string and ensure they don’t touch the sides or bottom of the jar.
  6. Allow them to sit undisturbed overnight.
  7. Remove the snowflakes the next day and let them dry on a paper towel.

Notes
