Description

A fun and educational experiment demonstrating how clouds produce rain using simple household materials.

Ingredients

  • Clear jar or glass
  • Water
  • Shaving cream
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Dropper or pipette
  • Spoon for mixing

Instructions

  1. Fill a clear jar or glass about three-quarters full with water.
  2. Gently squeeze shaving cream on top of the water to form a fluffy cloud.
  3. Use a dropper or pipette to add drops of food coloring onto the shaving cream cloud.
  4. Watch the food coloring trickle down into the water and create beautiful patterns.

Notes

Experiment with different food coloring combinations for a rainbow effect and swap jar shapes for aesthetic variations. Adding glitter can simulate sparkly raindrops.
