A fun and educational craft that illustrates weather phenomena and crafting skills while engaging kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • Clear glass or plastic jar with a lid
  • Water
  • Shaving cream (non-gel type)
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Dropper or spoon
  • Small cup for mixing

Instructions

  1. Fill the jar about three-quarters full with water, leaving space at the top for the cloud.
  2. Take a generous amount of shaving cream and gently spoon it on top of the water to create a fluffy cloud-like look.
  3. In a small cup, mix some food coloring with a few drops of water. Use a dropper or spoon to add the colored water on top of the shaving cream.
  4. Observe as the colored droplets break through the cloud, mimicking rain.

Notes

Experiment with various colors and sizes of jars, and consider adding glitter for extra visual effects.
