Description

Engaging craft recipe to create colorful erupting volcanoes using pumpkins, perfect for Halloween or educational activities.


Ingredients

  • 1 small pumpkin
  • 12 tablespoons baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • 1 tablespoon dish soap
  • Tray or large, shallow dish
  • Optional: glitter, small plastic toys

Instructions

  1. Carefully carve a small hole at the top of the pumpkin.
  2. Scoop out the seeds and pulp to create enough space for the eruption.
  3. In a bowl, mix baking soda and dish soap.
  4. Add food coloring to enhance the visual appeal.
  5. Place the pumpkin in the tray.
  6. Pour the baking soda mixture into the pumpkin’s hollow.
  7. Slowly add vinegar and watch the eruption.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle glitter or add small toys for added fun.
