Description

Make your own puffy paint for endless crafting possibilities. Easy and fun for kids!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Squeeze bottles or ziplock bags
  • Parchment paper or craft paper for painting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder until well mixed.
  2. Gradually pour in the water while stirring with a spoon or whisk. Aim for a smooth, lump-free mixture.
  3. Divide the mixture into different bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix until the desired color is achieved.
  4. Carefully spoon the colored mixtures into squeeze bottles or ziplock bags. If using bags, snip off a small corner of the bag for easy application.
  5. Use the puffy paint to create designs on parchment paper or other surfaces. Remember to squeeze gently for controlled lines.
  6. Allow your creations to dry completely for 4-6 hours or until they feel firm to the touch.

Notes

Experiment with colors and textures for unique creations. Store leftover paint in airtight containers.
