Description

Create stunning pressed flower ornaments that bring the beauty of nature into your home. Perfect for gifts and keepsakes.

Ingredients

  • Fresh flowers (petals, leaves, etc.)
  • Pressing items (heavy books, flower press, or parchment paper)
  • Clear resin (such as epoxy resin)
  • Silicone mold (for ornaments)
  • Mixing cups and stir sticks
  • Gloves (for handling resin)
  • Optional: Glitter, small charms, or other decorative elements

Instructions

  1. Select Fresh Blooms: Choose flowers that are flat and not too thick (like pansies or daisies).
  2. Prepare for Pressing: Place flowers between sheets of parchment paper and press them using heavy books or a flower press.
  3. Allow the flowers to sit for at least a week until completely dry and flat.
  4. Put on gloves to protect your hands from resin.
  5. Gather Materials: Have all your components ready near your workspace.
  6. In your mixing cup, combine the resin and hardener according to the package instructions.
  7. Mix thoroughly until no streaks remain, typically for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Pour a small amount of resin into the silicone mold to create a base.
  9. Carefully place your pressed flowers into the resin, arranging them as desired.
  10. Pour additional resin over the flowers until the mold is filled, sealing them in.
  11. Allow the resin to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 24-48 hours).
  12. Once cured, gently remove the ornaments from the mold.
  13. Optional Additions: You can add a string for hanging or any additional decorative elements.
  14. Display your beautiful pressed flower ornament in a window or give it as a heartfelt gift.

Notes

Customize flowers and add glitter for a personal touch. Use dried flowers if fresh ones aren’t available.
