Description

Create beautiful and unique pressed flower bookmarks, combining art and nature for a personal touch.

Ingredients

  • Fresh flowers (e.g., daisies, pansies, ferns)
  • Heavy books (for pressing)
  • Cardstock or thick paper (for bookmarks)
  • Clear-drying glue
  • Scissors
  • Wax paper
  • Tweezers (optional)
  • String or ribbon (for embellishment, optional)

Instructions

  1. Select fresh, vibrant flowers and leaves for pressing.
  2. Place flowers between sheets of wax paper and use heavy books to press them down for 1-2 weeks.
  3. Cut cardstock into a desired bookmark shape (standard size is 2 inches by 6 inches).
  4. Once flowers are pressed and dry, arrange them on cardstock.
  5. Apply a thin layer of clear-drying glue to each flower and adhere it to the cardstock, allowing it to dry completely.
  6. Optionally, punch a hole at the top and thread a piece of string or ribbon for embellishment.

Notes

Consider customizing your design with different flower types and using watercolor paper for artistic bookmarks.
