Description

Craft beautiful and personalized pressed flower bookmarks using fresh blooms, perfect for gifts or personal use.

Ingredients

  • Fresh flowers (thin petals work best, e.g., daisies, violets, or ferns)
  • Heavy books or a flower press
  • Parchment paper or wax paper
  • Clear adhesive tape or Mod Podge
  • Scissors
  • Cardstock or sturdy paper (for bookmarks)
  • Optional: ribbon or twine for decoration

Instructions

  1. Gather fresh flowers, ensuring they are vibrant and not wilted.
  2. Place flowers between sheets of parchment or wax paper.
  3. Stack heavy books on top or use a flower press and leave for 1-2 weeks until dry.
  4. Once dry, carefully remove the flowers from the paper.
  5. Cut cardstock into the desired bookmark shapes and sizes.
  6. Arrange the pressed flowers on the cardstock and secure them using adhesive tape or Mod Podge.
  7. Allow to dry completely if using Mod Podge.
  8. Trim edges for a clean look and optionally add a hole for ribbon/twine decoration.
