Description

Create whimsical dragonflies from recycled plastic bottles for a fun and eco-friendly craft project.

Ingredients

  • Clean plastic bottles (1 or 2-liter)
  • Scissors
  • Acrylic paints or permanent markers
  • Paintbrush (if using paint)
  • Googly eyes
  • Wire or pipe cleaners
  • Hot glue gun and glue
  • Optional: Glitter, sequins, beads for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bottle: Rinse the plastic bottle thoroughly, remove the label, and dry it completely.
  2. Shape the wings: Cut the bottle in half horizontally and cut out wing shapes from the bottom half.
  3. Paint your dragonflies: Use acrylic paint or markers to color the wings and allow them to dry.
  4. Assemble the dragonfly: Attach the wings to the neck of the bottle using hot glue or pipe cleaners.
  5. Add eyes & final touches: Glue googly eyes onto the neck and embellish with glitter, sequins, or beads.

Notes

Experiment with different colors, sizes, and optional decorations to personalize your dragonflies. Use waterproof materials for outdoor use.
