Description

Transform plastic bottles into beautiful dragonflies for your garden décor with this eco-friendly crafting project.


Ingredients

  • Clean, empty plastic bottles (soda or water bottles)
  • Scissors or craft knife
  • Acrylic paints or permanent markers
  • Paintbrushes
  • Wire (floral or thin gauge)
  • Beads (for decoration)
  • Pipe cleaners (optional)
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • String or fishing line (for hanging)
  • Googly eyes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry bottles, cutting them in half for the body and wings.
  2. Trim the top half into wing shapes and create a lace-like texture.
  3. Decorate the wings and body with acrylic paint or markers, allowing them to dry.
  4. Glue the wings to the body and add beads for decoration.
  5. Attach a piece of string or fishing line through a hole at the top of the body.
  6. Optionally attach googly eyes and display your dragonflies.

Notes

Experiment with different sizes of bottles and glow-in-the-dark paints for nighttime effects.
