Description
Create stunning pink eggshell geodes using simple materials. This eco-friendly craft provides a wonderful sensory experience and makes beautiful décor.
Ingredients
- Clean eggshells (white or brown)
- Pink food coloring or liquid watercolor
- Water
- Sugar
- Small bowls or containers
- Paintbrush (optional)
- Baking tray (optional for drying)
Instructions
- Carefully rinse and dry the eggshells to ensure they’re clean. Gently crack the eggshells into halves and remove any egg remnants.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar with a few drops of pink food coloring or watercolor. Stir until the sugar is fully colored and has an even hue.
- Pour a small amount of water into another bowl. Use a paintbrush (if desired) to apply a thin layer of water inside the eggshell halves to help the colored sugar stick.
- Spoon the colored sugar into the eggshells, filling them generously. Ensure that some sugar spills over for a more authentic geode effect.
- Place the filled eggshells on a baking tray or let them sit in a safe spot. Allow them to dry for several hours or overnight until the sugar hardens.
- Once dry, carefully peel away the eggshells or leave them as is. Display your pink eggshell geodes anywhere you like!
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different colors and effects. Keep your geodes in a cool, dry place after drying to maintain their beauty.
