Description

Transform old crayons into vibrant flower suncatchers that brighten your home and spark creativity.


Ingredients

  • Pink crayons (or various shades of pink)
  • Clear baking sheet or silicone mat
  • Cookie cutter in flower shape
  • Oven
  • Sharp knife (adult supervision required)
  • Scissors
  • String or ribbon for hanging

Instructions

  1. Unwrap the paper wrappers from the crayons.
  2. Break the crayons into roughly 1-inch pieces.
  3. Lay out the crayon pieces in the flower-shaped cookie cutter on the baking sheet.
  4. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and melt the crayons for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  7. Pop out the hardened crayon flower from the cookie cutter.
  8. Trim any uneven edges with scissors.
  9. Attach a string or ribbon for hanging through a small hole in the top of the flower.
