Transform old crayons into vibrant flower suncatchers that brighten your home and spark creativity.
Ingredients
- Pink crayons (or various shades of pink)
- Clear baking sheet or silicone mat
- Cookie cutter in flower shape
- Oven
- Sharp knife (adult supervision required)
- Scissors
- String or ribbon for hanging
Instructions
- Unwrap the paper wrappers from the crayons.
- Break the crayons into roughly 1-inch pieces.
- Lay out the crayon pieces in the flower-shaped cookie cutter on the baking sheet.
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and melt the crayons for about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- Pop out the hardened crayon flower from the cookie cutter.
- Trim any uneven edges with scissors.
- Attach a string or ribbon for hanging through a small hole in the top of the flower.
Notes
