Description

Create festive peppermint candy ornaments that are both decorative and edible for a delightful holiday touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peppermint candies (crushed)
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Cookie cutters (in festive shapes)
  • Ribbon or twine for hanging
  • Oven

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the peppermint candies in a resealable bag and crush them using a rolling pin or mallet.
  3. Use cookie cutters on the lined baking sheet and fill each with crushed candies, packing tightly.
  4. Carefully bake in the oven for about 5 to 7 minutes until candies have melted and smoothed out.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before removing cookie cutters.
  6. Once cooled, use a skewer or toothpick to make a small hole at the top of each ornament and thread ribbon or twine through for hanging.

Notes

Store ornaments in an airtight container at room temperature. These are best used indoors to prevent melting in warm weather.
