  • Lollipop sticks or wooden skewers

  • Styrofoam block or cake pop stand for drying
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Prepare cake mix: Follow the instructions on the box to make your cake.
  2. Bake: Pour the batter into a prepared baking dish and bake according to package instructions. Let it cool completely.
  3. Crumble the cake: Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl until finely broken.
  4. Add frosting: Mix in the frosting until well combined, creating a moldable dough.
  5. Shape into balls: Roll the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Set on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Melt candy melts: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the red, white, and blue candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
