Transform ordinary paper rolls into whimsical lanterns that cast a warm glow, perfect for kids’ rooms, parties, or cozy evenings.
Ingredients

- 2 empty toilet paper rolls
- Acrylic paint (various colors)
- Paintbrushes
- Craft knife or scissors
- LED tealight candles
- String or twine (for hanging)
- Optional: Stickers, glitter, washi tape, or other decorative elements
Instructions
- Start with two empty toilet paper rolls. Make sure they are clean and dry.
- Using scissors or a craft knife, carefully cut out shapes or designs on one side of each roll.
- Once the designs are cut out, use a paintbrush to apply acrylic paint to the outside of the rolls. Let your imagination guide you!
- If desired, embellish the painted rolls with glitter, stickers, or washi tape to enhance their charm. Allow the lanterns to dry completely.
- Place an LED tealight candle inside each of the painted rolls.
- If you want to hang them, tie a piece of twine around the top of each lantern or place them on a table or window sill.
Notes
For best results, experiment with different shapes and colors. Ensure the LED candles fit securely in the rolls.
