- 1 paper plate
- Yellow paint or yellow construction paper
- Orange construction paper (optional for the rays)

- String or ribbon (optional for hanging)
Instructions
- Start with a clean paper plate. If using paint, apply a layer of yellow paint over the entire plate. If using construction paper, cut a circle to glue onto the plate.
- Cut out long triangles or strips from the orange construction paper for the sun’s rays.
- Glue the rays around the edge of the paper plate, spacing them evenly.
- Use markers or crayons to draw a smiling face on your sun and attach googly eyes.
- Allow glue and paint to dry thoroughly, and attach string or ribbon for hanging if desired.
