Description
Create charming paper plate pumpkins to celebrate autumn and Halloween with minimal supplies and endless creativity.
Ingredients
- Paper plates (orange and green)
- Green construction paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue stick or craft glue
- Paint (orange, green, and black)
- Paintbrush (optional)
- Markers or crayons
- Ribbon or twine (optional for decoration)
- Googly eyes (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by clearing a flat surface and covering it with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth.
- Using orange paint, cover one side of the paper plates thoroughly and allow to dry.
- Cut a rectangle from green construction paper for the pumpkin stem. Optionally, curl the rectangle for a whimsical look.
- Once the paint is dry, glue the green stem at the top center of the plate.
- Create faces on your pumpkins using black paint or markers. Optionally, add googly eyes for fun.
- Add ribbons or twine around the stem for decoration, if desired. Display your paper plate pumpkins proudly!
Notes
Consider using non-traditional colors for unique designs and add textures using fabric scraps. Use weather-resistant adhesive if displaying outside.
