Description

A delightful craft project for creating adorable paper cup turkeys, perfect for Thanksgiving decorations and family activities.

Ingredients

  • Paper cups (colored or plain white)
  • Construction paper (brown, orange, yellow, red)
  • Scissors
  • Glue or glue stick
  • Markers or crayons
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Feathers (optional)
  • Tape

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Cup: Turn a paper cup upside down to serve as the body of the turkey.
  2. Create the Turkey’s Face: Cut a small circle from colored paper for the face and glue it to the bottom of the cup. Attach googly eyes or draw eyes with a marker.
  3. Make the Beak and Wattle: Cut a small triangle from orange paper for the beak, glue it below the eyes, and cut a wattle shape from red paper to glue below the beak.
  4. Craft the Feathers: Cut feather shapes from different colors of construction paper and tape or glue them to the back of the upside-down cup, fanning them out.
  5. Add Finishing Touches: Use markers or crayons to add details and optional real feathers for authenticity.

Notes

Customize the turkey with seasonal colors and swap materials. Encourage creativity by making it a game or seasonal theme.
