Description

A fun and easy crafting project to create colorful necklaces using painted pasta, perfect for all ages.

Ingredients

  • Uncooked pasta (penne, macaroni, or any shape)
  • Acrylic paints or food coloring
  • Small and large paintbrushes
  • Clear sealant or mod podge
  • String or elastic cord
  • Scissors
  • Bowl or tray for mixing colors
  • Water for cleaning brushes
  • Paper towels

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Lay down newspapers or a plastic cover to protect surfaces and arrange paints and brushes.
  2. Paint the pasta by dipping your brush into the paint and applying it to the pasta piece.
  3. Dry the pasta: Place painted pasta on paper towels to dry completely (1-2 hours).
  4. String the pasta: Cut cord to desired length, then thread the dried pasta pieces onto the string.
  5. Finish the necklace: Tie a knot at the ends and optionally apply a clear sealant for durability.

Notes

Customize colors, try different materials, create multi-strand necklaces, and use seasonal themes for added fun.
