Description

A delightful and sensory-rich craft that combines creativity with science, perfect for children and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white school glue
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon contact lens solution (with boric acid)
  • 12 cups of water
  • Blue and green food coloring
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Ocean-themed decorations (like small shells or fish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of white school glue. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and stir until fully combined.
  2. Introduce blue and green food coloring to achieve an ocean hue. Start with a few drops and mix until you reach your desired color intensity.
  3. Slowly add 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution to the mixture. Stir continuously as the slime begins to form.
  4. Use your hands to knead the slime. If it’s too sticky, add a little more contact lens solution until a smooth consistency is achieved.
  5. Fold in glitter for a sparkling effect and sprinkle in any ocean-themed decorations, like tiny shells or fish.
  6. Store your ocean slime in an airtight container to keep it fresh and prevent it from drying out.

Notes

Supervise young children while crafting, and ensure they don’t ingest any materials. Consider experimenting with different colors and textures.
