Description

Create enchanting ocean-themed suncatchers that transform simple crayons into vibrant, stained-glass-like decorations for your home.

Ingredients

  • Old crayons (in ocean colors like blue, teal, green, and purple)
  • Baking paper (parchment paper)
  • Cookie sheet
  • Oven
  • Scissors
  • Clear adhesive contact paper or window film
  • Craft knife (optional)
  • Hole punch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C) and gather all crayons, removing paper wrappings.
  2. Chop the crayons into small pieces, similar to pea size.
  3. Line a cookie sheet with baking paper and arrange crayon pieces randomly or in a pattern.
  4. Place the cookie sheet in the oven and melt the crayons, keeping an eye on the process for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove the sheet from the oven and let it cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, peel off the baking paper and cut out fun shapes using scissors.
  7. For durability, attach clear adhesive contact paper or window film to one side.

Notes

Experiment with different color combinations and shapes for personalized suncatchers. Try adding sequins for texture!
