Description

A fun and engaging craft project to create a mesmerizing ocean display in a bottle, perfect for decorating your home or as a calming sensory tool.

Ingredients

  • Clear plastic or glass bottle with removable lid
  • Blue food coloring
  • Water
  • Vegetable oil
  • Small shells, beads, or decorative fish
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Funnel (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry your bottle to ensure it’s clean. If using a label, remove it completely for clear visibility.
  2. Use a funnel to pour about 1/3 of the bottle with water. Add a few drops of blue food coloring to mimic the ocean’s color and stir to mix.
  3. Carefully drop in your small shells, beads, or decorative fish, arranging them to your liking.
  4. Slowly pour vegetable oil into the bottle until it’s nearly full, leaving some space at the top.
  5. Securely cap the bottle and shake it gently to observe how the colors mix and swirl.

Notes

Consider swapping water for clear hair gel for a thicker ocean effect and using different colors to personalize your ocean theme.
