Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup nuts (walnuts, almonds, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup seeds (chia, sunflower, etc.)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats with any dry ingredients like nuts, seeds, and dried fruit.
  3. In another bowl, mix the honey or maple syrup with the almond butter and flavorings.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Add water or milk if the mixture is too dry.
  5. Press the mixture into the prepared pan evenly and firmly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  7. Let bars cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

For chewier bars, avoid overbaking. Experiment with add-ins like chocolate chips or coconut flakes.
