Description

A delightful DIY project for making vibrant, glow-in-the-dark bouncing balls using simple materials.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of white glue (PVA glue)
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of borax
  • Neon food coloring (various colors)
  • 1/2 cup of corn starch
  • A small bowl for mixing
  • A larger bowl for combining
  • A spatula or mixing stick
  • Optional: Glow-in-the-dark powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Borax Solution: In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of borax with 1 cup of warm water until dissolved. Set aside.
  2. Mix Glue and Water: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of white glue with 1/2 cup of water and stir well.
  3. Add Color: Add a few drops of neon food coloring to the glue mixture and mix thoroughly.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Gradually pour the borax solution into the glue mixture while stirring continuously until thickened.
  5. Add Corn Starch: Sprinkle in 1/2 cup of corn starch and mix until a cohesive, stretchy ball forms.
  6. Mold Your Ball: Knead the mixture with your hands to form a smooth ball. Add glow-in-the-dark powder if desired.
  7. Time to Bounce! Let the ball sit for a few minutes, then enjoy watching it glow in the dark!

Notes

Experiment with different colors and textures by adding glitter or varying ingredient quantities for larger or smaller balls.
