Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of gelatin (unflavored)
  • 2 tablespoons of corn syrup
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Baking sheet
  • Wax paper
  • Natural items (flowers, leaves, etc.)
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • String or ribbon for hanging

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace by laying down wax paper to catch spills and gather all materials.
  2. Make the Bioplastic Mixture by combining water, gelatin, and corn syrup in a saucepan, heating and stirring until dissolved, then divide into cups and add food coloring.
  3. Create Your Suncatchers by pouring the mixture onto the baking sheet, placing natural items on top, and allowing to set for 4-6 hours.
  4. Cut and Punch the set bioplastic into desired shapes and create a hole for hanging.
  5. Display Your Creation by threading a string or ribbon and hanging it in a sunny window.
