Ingredients
- Clear glass or plastic ornaments
- Acrylic paint (various colors)
- Nail polish (optional for additional effects)
- Dish soap
- Warm water
- Plastic drop cloth or newspaper (for easy cleanup)
- Toothpicks or skewers
- Gloves (optional, but recommended for easy cleanup)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Lay down your plastic drop cloth or newspaper to protect your surfaces. Put on gloves if desired.
- Mix the Water Solution: Fill a bowl with warm water—about halfway. Add a few drops of dish soap and stir gently.
- Prepare the Paint: Open your acrylic paints and drop different colors into the water’s surface. If using nail polish, add a few drops.
- Create Your Marble Effect: Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl the colors, creating beautiful patterns.
- Dip Your Ornaments: Carefully dip your clear ornament into the colored water solution.
- Drying Your Ornaments: Place the dipped ornament on a paper towel to dry. Repeat for additional layers if desired.
Notes
Experiment with colors and add glitter for extra sparkle. Use stencils for specific designs and wait between dips for layered looks.
