Description

A fun and engaging craft that combines art and science, perfect for all ages!

Ingredients

  • Clear jar or container with a lid (like a mason jar)
  • Baking soda (1-2 tablespoons)
  • White vinegar (1 cup)
  • Food coloring (your choice of colors)
  • Dish soap (a squeeze)
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Funnel (for easy pouring)
  • Tray or protective surface (to catch spills)

Instructions

  1. Use the funnel to add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda into the bottom of the jar.
  2. Add a squeeze of dish soap to the baking soda and mix gently.
  3. Pour in a few drops of food coloring on top of the baking soda mixture.
  4. If you’re using glitter, sprinkle it in now for added sparkle!
  5. Slowly pour the white vinegar into the jar.
  6. Watch closely as the reaction creates an explosive foam that bubbles and erupts from the jar!
  7. Enjoy the eruption for a few minutes before cleaning the surface with a damp cloth.

Notes

Customize colors and add fun elements to enhance the experience. Experiment with various jar sizes for different eruptions!
