Ingredients
- Wooden craft sticks or skewers
- Fabric scraps (flannel, felt, or cotton)
- String or twine
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Marker or paint (for facial features)
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Miniature straw or hay (optional for accents)
Instructions
- Cut a 5-inch square of fabric for the scarecrow’s head and body.
- Wrap one end of the wooden craft stick with the fabric square, leaving enough fabric at the top for a head.
- Secure the fabric at the bottom with a small dab of hot glue.
- Use a marker or paint to draw a face and attach googly eyes for extra fun!
- Cut a rectangle of fabric to make a hat and glue it to the top of the head.
- Create a scarf with twine or add bits of straw around the neck for charm.
- Insert the finished mini scarecrow into pots or garden beds as desired.
