Ingredients

  • 1 bag of chocolate-covered cookies (e.g., Oreos)
  • 1 bag of chocolate candy melts (or chocolate chips)
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Black licorice strings or chocolate frosting for decoration
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Space: Lay out wax paper or parchment paper on a flat surface for cooling your treats.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Hats: Dip the top half of each chocolate-covered cookie into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip.
  4. Add Marshmallow: Place a mini marshmallow on the melted chocolate, pressing gently.
  5. Finalize the Hat: Dip the bottom of a second cookie into the melted chocolate and press it down onto the marshmallow, creating the hat shape.
  6. Decorate: Cut small pieces of black licorice and attach them around the base of the marshmallow as a decorative band.
