Ingredients

  • Small clear jars or cups (e.g., mason jars, plastic cups)
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda per jar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar per jar
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • 12 tablespoons liquid dish soap
  • Glitter (optional, for extra flair)
  • Spoon or stirring stick
  • Tray or large container (to contain the mess)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down a tray to catch spills and gathering all materials for easy access.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda into each jar as the base of your explosion.
  3. Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of liquid dish soap to enhance the visual effect.
  4. Add several drops of food coloring into the mixture for a vibrant explosion.
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup of vinegar for each jar and optionally add glitter for a magical touch.
  6. Create the reaction by quickly pouring the vinegar into the jar and stepping back to watch the mini explosion!
  7. Clean up by disposing the mixture in the sink and rinsing the jars for reuse.
