Description

A unique and versatile dough perfect for crafting, molding, and sensory play.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon black food coloring (or natural charcoal powder)
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Airtight container for storage

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Stir until well blended, ensuring there are no lumps.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the water, vegetable oil, and black food coloring. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients while stirring continuously.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and cook over medium heat. Stir constantly for 3-5 minutes, until the dough starts to form and pull away from the sides of the pan.
  4. Once the dough cools slightly, knead it on a clean surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the Midnight Black Magic Dough in an airtight container to keep it fresh. Let it cool completely before sealing.

Notes

For added fun, you can customize the dough with essential oils or glitter. This recipe is not edible.
