Ingredients

  • Plastic beads (perler beads or pony beads)
  • Metal cookie cutters (various shapes)
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or aluminum foil
  • Oven
  • Oven mitts
  • Hanging string or ribbon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Select cookie cutters and place them on the baking sheet.
  3. Fill each cookie cutter with plastic beads, packing them tightly for even melting.
  4. Carefully place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until beads are fully melted but not bubbling.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven using oven mitts and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Gently remove suncatchers from the cookie cutters and thread a string or ribbon through a hole if desired.

Notes

Experiment with different color combinations and shapes for unique designs. Consider using UV-resistant beads for outdoor use.
