Description

Transform simple Mason jar lids into beautiful sun catchers that brighten your home with colorful reflections.


Ingredients

  • Mason jar lids (flat part only)
  • Clear drying glue or Mod Podge
  • Tissue paper or colored cellophane
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush (optional)
  • Ribbon or twine (for hanging)
  • Optional embellishments: beads, glitter

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by covering a flat surface with newspaper.
  2. Cut tissue paper or colored cellophane into small squares or shapes.
  3. Apply a thin layer of glue or Mod Podge to the surface of the Mason jar lid.
  4. Arrange and press the cut squares of tissue paper onto the glued surface.
  5. Let the lid dry completely for about 30 minutes to an hour.
  6. Add a hanging mechanism by threading ribbon or twine through the top hole of the lid.
  7. Display your creation in a window to catch the light.
