Description

Create a stunning rainbow crystal forest that combines art and science. Perfect for family bonding and educational fun!

Ingredients

  • Epsom salt (2 cups)
  • Water (1 cup)
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Plastic or glass containers (for growing crystals)
  • Spoon (for stirring)
  • Wax paper or a tray (to catch spills)
  • Heat source (stovetop or microwave)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with 2 cups of Epsom salt until dissolved.
  2. Divide the solution into separate containers for each color and add food coloring.
  3. Pour the colored solutions into your chosen containers, leaving space at the top.
  4. Heat the containers on low heat or in a microwave to fully dissolve the salt.
  5. Place the containers in a quiet spot and wait for 24 to 48 hours for crystals to form.
  6. After 2 days, remove the crystals and arrange them on wax paper to dry completely.

Notes

Feel free to customize colors or swap Epsom salt with sugar for different crystals. Add natural elements for a more organic look.
