Description

A delightful DIY project making vibrant blue crayon suncatchers to brighten up your space.

Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (broken or whole)
  • Oven-safe muffin tin or silicone mold
  • Baking paper
  • Grater or knife for shaving crayons
  • Oven or microwave
  • Optional: Clear contact paper or adhesive for backing

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Crayons: Gather your blue crayons and remove the wrappers. Use a grater to shave the crayons into fine pieces.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 230°F (110°C). You can also use a microwave if preferred.
  3. Fill the Mold: Sprinkle the grated blue crayon pieces evenly into the muffin tin or silicone mold.
  4. Melt the Crayons: Place the filled mold in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until fully melted.
  5. Cool and Remove: Carefully remove the mold from the oven and let it cool at room temperature until solid (about 1 hour).
  6. Optional Backing: Use clear contact paper or adhesive to back your suncatcher for added durability.

Notes

Feel free to mix colors for gradient effects and use different molds for unique shapes.
