Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Watch it fizz!
- Stir until the fizzing stops.
- Gradually mix in 3 cups of cornstarch.
- Add 1/2 cup of water slowly, mixing thoroughly until you achieve a dough-like consistency.
- Take portions of the dough and shape them into a cone to resemble a tree.
- Use your hands to mold and smooth the surface.
- Use a cookie cutter to cut out smaller decorations or stars from additional dough.
- Press these onto your tree for added detail.
- Place your tree on a sheet of parchment paper and let it air dry for 24 to 48 hours, or until hard.
- Once dry, paint and embellish your tree with glitter or any additional decorations.
Notes
Consider using essential oils to scent your dough. You may also create a themed display with multiple colored trees.
